From the Tuscan Coast to the Côte de Nuits | 6/22 – 6/27/21

Back to big bottles, yet again: 6Ls all week long. I’ve also taken a couple weeks to relax and pour Rosé; as refreshing as that can be, guests have been longing for Red wine – so I had to listen!

First up, a wonderful Biodynamic estate on the Tuscan coast: Ampeleia. I recently ordered a handful of large formats (including some VERY large ones… more on that down the way) and the first one has arrived! Entirely Cabernet Franc, this is a very different take on the grape that leads to a refreshing, clean, quaffable wine. Should be amazing out of Methuselah.

For the rest of the week, we move to 6Ls of Benjamin Leroux’s 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin AC. I loved the Saint-Romain 6L he bottled for us that we poured a couple of months back; I’m very much looking forward to trying this Village Rouge out of the same format.

Should be a delicious week! Come see us as the world continues to open back up. Hope you’re all well.
