A Couple Tasty Offerings from Clos de la Chapelle | 9/20 – 9/26/21

Nothing is really quite as tasty as a good glass of Burgundy (particularly with a big ol’ board of our Charcuterie). The extra palate freshness gifted by the Large Format only adds to the great pleasure of perfectly executed Pinot Noir.

This week we’ll feature the wines from Clos de la Chapelle, a Domaine making intensely delicious wines from great plots all over the Côte d’Or. We’re sticking to the Côte de Beaune, however, with magnums of the Beaune 1er ‘Champs Pimont’ followed by one 6L of the Pommard 1er ‘Grands Epenots’—from bright, bouncing fruit to bloodied minerality, these are two stark examples of the differing forms that Pinot Noir can take. Should be a tasty week!
