I couldn’t resist a return to really, really big bottles.
Last winter we poured through a bunch of Remoissenet Balthazars, and though youthful, the wine is still fabulous, particularly after a day or two of air.
With the temperature unable to decide whether to rise or plummet, I decided we’d remain with Burgundy, which to me is the ultimate go-to with all of the cuisine here at Bar Boulud.
That said, we’re also going to be running a Boeuf Bourguignon special for the week as well. No better pairing out there!
