Big Rusticity this week at Bar Boulud | 11/8 – 11/14/21

Well, the weather has finally dropped to a proper temperature (at least, according to this Maine lumberjack) and it’s time to haul out the dusty, rusty brawn of Tannat. Château Bouscassé from Alain Brumont is a pinnacle of Southwestern French reds, along with its grander cousin Montus. They recently did a library offering of very large bottles…you know I couldn’t pass up on this opportunity.

I am going to save most of them for Cassoulet season, which is nearing ever-so-speedily. That said, I couldn’t resist popping a couple and checking out 15-year old Madiran from both 12 and 15L bottles. Hope to see you this week!
