Beautiful Beaujolais to Begin June | 6/1 – 6/6/21

After the rainy holiday weekend, I thought it best to strike the balance between juicy quaffability and pleasant, refreshing summer wine. There’s nothing that fits this Venn Diagram more than Beaujolais. It is, of course, a classic pairing for a broad spectrum of our wonderful bistro food; it is also bright and intriguing on its own.

For the first half of the week, we’ll check into Magnums of Descombes’ Régnié with a little age: the 2014 old-vines cuvée. For the weekend, we’ll move to the piquant Chiroubles 2018 from our friends Michelle Smith and David Chapel at Domaine Chapel. Both wines are so pleasant and I’m looking forward to sneaking myself a glass along with a plate of charcuterie…

Happy June!
