La Paulée Week — Special Burgundy Pours from Magnum All Week at Bar Boulud

Please join us this week at Bar Boulud as we gear up for La Paulée de San Francisco, undoubtedly one of the greatest celebrations of Burgundy on earth.

Began in 2000 by Daniel Johnnes, Dinex Wine Director, La Paulée is an annual event inspired by La Paulée de Meursault, a joyous fête held by the growers and their guests celebrating the end of harvest. Each year, Johnnes’s La Paulée alternates between New York and San Francisco as its host city. Over the years, this has served to create real community, dialogue and friendship between those from Burgundy, New York and San Francisco, with winemakers, chefs, and sommeliers spending time together, reconnecting each year. The atmosphere is electric, charged with the energy of the winemakers, the sommeliers, the host city and of course, the guests.

In an ode to the Paulée, this week we will be opening some truly great Burgundy from our cellar, including Edmond Cornu Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru ‘Les Valozières’ 2010, Gérard Duplessis Chablis 1er Cru ‘Vaillons’ 2013, and a very unique opportunity to taste Georges Mugneret Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 1993 by the glass.
