Bar Boulud, located in the Mandarin Oriental, Boston, is a French-inspired bistro and wine bar helmed by Chef Daniel Boulud
specializing in classic brasserie fare. Situated in the heart of Back Bay on Boylston Street, Bar Boulud offers seasonal New England-inspired
dishes, an impressive selection of famed house-made terrines and pâtés by Parisian Charcutier Gilles Vérot, an Oyster bar and an impressive wine cellar. Additionally, the menu features a handful of signature French classics and burgers, adding an American touch. The interiors are inspired by a
contemporary take on the craft of winemaking with dramatic vaulted wood ceilings reminiscent of wine barrels, feature walls made from
French wine crates, a marble-clad oyster counter and a backlit zinc-topped bar, to create a comfortable and welcoming surrounding

Of all Chef Daniel Boulud’s restaurants, Bar Boulud is most directly inspired by his childhood in the countryside outside Lyon, France. With an emphasis on regional French wines and elevated interpretations of classic home cooking, Bar Boulud invites diners to discover the deep, rustic roots of French gastronomy. Classics such as Coq au Vin share space next to New England-inspired dishes including the Fried Ipswich Belly Clams.
